As the Jubilee Year of Hope concluded on January 6, 2026, we now enter a new moment in the life of the Church. The year 2026 marks the Centenary of Mission Sunday with the theme “One Christ, United in Mission.”

In this spirit, the Loyola Retreat House – Spirituality and Art Center Angono (LRH-SACA), in collaboration with the Commission for Cultural Heritage and the Arts (CCHA) of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Clement, warmly invites you to experience MISSIO: “I SEND YOU”—a Lenten exhibit exploring the call to proclaim the Gospel across time, cultures, and communities. Through art, devotion, and prayerful reflection, this exhibit celebrates the rich diversity of those who share and receive Christ’s message, offering a space to pause, reflect, and journey deeper in faith this Lenten season.

The exhibition unfolds in three contemplative movements:

Part I: THE TASK. “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15). This section presents beloved Marian images from the LRH-SACA collection alongside works by participating artists—reminding us that Mary accompanies the Church in its mission.

Part II: THE MESSAGE. “Ecce Lignum Crucis” — Behold the wood of the Cross. Drawing from the solemn words of the Good Friday liturgy, this section gathers various crucifixes of different forms and traditions, including hand-painted resin crucifixes, wooden monstrances, and the Via Crucis bas reliefs inspired by the works of National Artist Carlos “Botong” Francisco. Together, they invite us into prayerful contemplation of Christ’s Passion.

Part III: HONORING THE PATRONS OF MISSIONS. Saints Francis Xavier and Thérèse of Lisieux. “Ite et inflamate omnia” — Go, set the world on fire. In the Prayer and Art Space, the relics of these two great patrons of mission will be displayed, inviting visitors to reflect on missionary zeal, humility, and faithful witness.

We warmly invite everyone to the opening of MISSIO: “I SEND YOU” on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, following the regular Sunday Mass at the Chapel of the Risen Lord.

As we enter the season of Lent, may this exhibit become a space of prayer, reflection, and renewal. Walk with us at the Loyola Retreat House—where faith, art, and silence meet—and rediscover the call of Christ who continues to send each of us in mission.
